Creating Confident Learners

Our mission at Growing Confident Minds Ipswich is to establish a supportive learning environment that provides engaging learning experiences with a focus on building social connections, self-worth, and confident learners. Building a community where students are taught to socially connect with others while valuing their own unique sense of self is our main priority. Creating curious, engaged learners who flourish within the classroom and beyond is what we strive to achieve.

STEPHANIE PEREZ
Founding Director - Growing Confident Minds

Hi, I’m Stephanie Perez, an Early Childhood Teacher with over 14 years of experience teaching across diverse school settings in Queensland. My passion is creating safe, happy, and engaging learning environments that spark a lifelong love of learning. I believe in educating the whole child, nurturing both academic and emotional growth to foster confident, resilient and curious learners.

I have completed a specialised Multisensory Structured Language (MSL) Dyslexia course through the Institute for Multisensory Language Education, equipping me with evidence-based strategies to support students with dyslexia and other learning differences. I have completed a Neuro-Affirming Social Skills course with AUsome Training, which equips me to use multisensory, neuro-affirming strategies that strengthen learning connections, help students identify their unique learning styles, and give them the confidence to advocate for themselves.

My commitment to holistic education led me to complete Kids Yoga Teacher Training, empowering children to develop healthy bodies and minds. I have also gained experience in trauma-informed practices, ensuring that every learner feels safe and supported.

Currently, I am in the final year of a Master of Disability Practice and Leadership (Developmental Educator) at Flinders University, further strengthening my ability to support diverse learners and promote inclusion.

I believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential, and I am dedicated to making that a reality.

OLIVIA PEREIRA
Dyslexia Practitioner

Hi, I’m Olivia Pereira. I joined Growing Confident Minds in early 2025, and I bring over ten years of experience supporting students with diverse learning needs across school settings, workplaces, and private tutoring. I’m deeply passionate about helping individuals access learning in ways that feel achievable, empowering, and genuinely confidence‑building. Nothing matters more to me than supporting meaningful participation in learning and opening up future opportunities for every student.

My background is in psychology, and I hold a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours), with postgraduate subjects in Educational and Developmental Psychology, and a Graduate Certificate in Autism Studies. I’m currently completing my Master of Disability Practice and Leadership (Developmental Educator) through Flinders University. I’m trained in MacqLit (Macquarie Literacy Program) and am completing my MSL practicum in 2026 through the Institute for Multisensory Language Education (IMSLE), aligned with the Australian Dyslexia Association, to strengthen my delivery of evidence‑based intervention.  I love working with students of all ages and seeing their confidence grow as they discover their strengths, develop new skills, and realise what they’re truly capable of. It’s a privilege to walk alongside families and learners as they build skills that help them thrive.
